How do I use body butter?

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin. Massage in until absorbed. A little goes a long way, as it is a thicker texture than lotion and designed to be more moisturizing than lotion.

Is body butter greasy?

Body butter has a richer, more moisturizing feel than lotion, so you may notice a soft, nourishing layer on the skin after applying it. It isn't intended to feel heavy or uncomfortable, and a little goes a long way. For the best finish, start with a small amount and massage it thoroughly into the skin.

When should I apply body butter?

After showering or bathing, before bed as a calming ritual, or anytime your skin needs extra moisture.

Are your body butters whipped?

Our body butters are not whipped. They are intentionally formulated as a smooth, creamy butter that provides rich hydration without the airy texture of whipped products.

What ingredients do you use?

For our body butters, we use shea butter, jojoba oil, vitamin E, arrowroot powder, and fragrance oils.

How long does shipping take?

We kindly ask for 1-2 business days processing time and 5-8 business days for shipping, however, your order may arrive sooner than this.

Can I change or cancel my order?

We understand that sometimes you may need to make a change. If you need to cancel or update your order, please contact us within 15 minutes of placing your order. We'll do our best to accommodate requests before your order enters processing. Once an order has begun processing, we are unable to guarantee changes or cancellations. When contacting us to make a change, please include your order number.

What is your return policy?

Due to the personal nature of our products, and for hygienic reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges. However, if your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us at info@thepermissionco.com within 14 days of delivery and we'll be happy to make it right. Refunds will typically process and show up on your credit card statement within 3-5 business days.

What if my body butter melts?

Body butter may soften in warm temperatures. This does not mean it is damaged. Allow it to cool and return to its normal consistency.

Where should I store my body butter?

Store the body butter in a cool, dry place. For the best experience, we recommend using the body butter within 6 to 12 months.
